1959 Garelli Capri Scooter rare with bike trailer ready togo not lambretta vespa
Hi up for sale is my much loved and very rare Garelli Capri Scooter. lots of pictures at bottom of page This is one of the very first Garelli Capri scooters to hit the UK market as they only started to import them for UK sale in 1959. The first ones manufactured had the wire wheels, these were soon changed to pressed steel wheels in 1960s. This is how we know the scooter was manufactured in 1959. I have also spend a lot of time tracking down the historic records so that I could obtain a current v5c vehicle registration document which I have for it. According to the records it was first registered in July 1960 but was manufactured in 1959. Unfortunately to be mot exempt it has to be first registered before 1st Jan 1960 so it just missed out :-( however it is tax exempt and also has been restored and prepped ready for an mot and there is no reason that I can see why it would not pass. so just to clarify- The scooter is mot ready but not currently mot'dIt comes with a current up to date v5c registration document original number plate And it is tax exempt.70cc 2 stroke kick start 3 speed manual front and rear drum brakes There are currently no Garelli Capri scooters for sale on ebay and generally they are quite rare.
