1959 Nor-Vel Norton Velocette Venom 500cc special Cafe Racer beauty!

1959 NORVEL 500CC Slimline Norton - Velocette Venom CAFE RACER Here is one awesome Cafe-Racer Norton-Velocette Special. This bike is in superb all round condition. It starts very easily and sounds fantastic! There’s no knocks or rattles or smoke. It has direct 12Volt lighting (no battery) which works well.. It is fitted with a lovely pair of Smith’s Chronometric clocks. Both the rev counter & speedometer are working well. The bike is very light. Even just pushing it around you can tell it wants to go! The gearing is quite high but not too high to be practical. It is just a typical fast, long legged and light 500cc single. The bike comes with a V5C registration certificate, registration KFF 994 (transferable). Frame number R14 86763, Engine number VM3178. These numbers match the V5C. The year of manufacture is declared as 1960 in the V5C doc but in fact the frame left the factory in December 1959. So the bike is in fact pre-60 MOT exempt. A VMCC factory record extract & Glasses guide extract are supplied with the bike to back this up. Also there is a current MOT valid until Jan 2016. The bike is registered for historic class (free) road tax. Cosmetically the bike is in lovely condition. The frame has beautiful stove enamel. The tank which is aluminium has a very good paint job as do sundry items. The seat is good , the exhaust is very good, the s...
