1960 Matchless G12 650cc Twin. V5C. Transfer Number. Very Tidy. Good Runner. MOT

This is a 1960 Matchless G12 650cc overhead valve twin. This is Matchless,s version of say the A10 or Triumph Thunderbird / T110. This bike has been restored and is in very tidy condition and is quite striking in white and red. The bike has a current V5C present and is on its original number which is transferable and I,m told worth a fair amount, but I am no expert on this but a couple of thousand has been mentioned as a value, but that could be pie in the sky for all I know. The bike at this age will be tax exempt, but not MOT exempt since the machine has to be before 1960. However, One thing I would point out with this bike. It is registered in January 1960. My guess it was actually made in late 1959 for the 1960 season. If you get proof of manufacture before 1960, it may be possible to get this as MOT exempt as well, and the club maybe able to help with this evidence as the factory records are available as far as I know. The chances are that this was made in late 1959, dispatched to a dealer and then sold and registered within a few months, but there would have been that time lag and that is enough if you can prove it. Regardless of all that, the bike is currently MOT,d until the end of May next year. OK, onto the bike its self, which is as sweet a 650 Matchless as your likely to find. Very clean and tidy, starts and runs fine, no smoke or rattles, lights up, rides around etc etc. It looks to have been restored and then had little use as everything is pretty clean and fres...
