Here is my BSA A65 Thunderbolt with Watsonian Palma sidecar. I listed the bike for an auction but two bidders went a bit mad and then pulled out at the last minute. So, I am listing as a classified this time. I will carefully consider all offers. I bought the bike to rescue it from languishing in the trade in the Netherlands, because the history is nice and the long-term owner lived in the same village as me during the 70's/80's it deserves to be preserved well. I hope it finds a good home here with someone who appreciates it. I am selling it as needing work as I was told it was running fine but the battery was duff when I got it and I didn't bother to get a new one. I would assume it needs the carb cleaning etc and a general service. It has a set of indicators fitted. Here is the story. The bike was bought new in April 1970 from Sampsons of Barnstaple. I have the first free 500 mile service certificate, but the purchaser was a qualified mechanic and author,(he subsequently wrote a book about being a mechanic for 60 years entitled "IT wasn't my fault"!) who serviced the bike himself. The bike was modified a bit to suit the sidecar, including heavy duty twin springs on the rear and I think it was adapted from new. I know it was sporting the sidecar in 1973. The bike is still registered at the DVLA with the first owner and when you send in the necessary paperwork, you will show as the second owner.
