MZ ES 250/2
Owned by me since 04/10/2003. On SORN.from July 2015. MOT expired August 2015. 23088 Miles. Green and cream . MZ ES 250/2, Manufactured and registered 1972 “L” registration. Have been a member of the MZ Riders Club since 1980, and was until lately a Section Representative. Selling as have decided to give up motorcycling. Good points: Stainless steel exhaust down-pipe, and with original silencer clad in thin stainless steel sheet. Stainless steel spokes. Many stainless steel fasteners. Stainless steel suspension covers on front and rear suspension. Fitted with later 30mm BVF carburettor.from ETZ 251. “Velleman” Electronic points assisted ignition fitted. LED indicators, rear, brake and front pilot light. Electronic indicator unit. Rewired with larger cross section copper wiring loom. Original rear prop stand. Metzeler Block C front and Avon Supreme rear tyres in good condition. Newish rear seat cover. Rear rack fitted with “Swagman” soft pannier. Embossed aluminium rear numberplate. Original right hand aluminium bar end mirror. Original hand pump, owners handbook, manufacturers repair manual and a part toolkit. Not so good points: Hand paint brushed with unique shades of “Japlac” paint. Photos look better than the bike actually does - there are visible brush marks . A couple of rust holes have been filled in the head lamp nacelle. Front mudguard slightly distorted in cross section, at front. Steel base of seat has been repaired in places with glass fibre.
