BMW R80/7 1980 WITH RT FAIRING BLUE, PANNIER CARRIERS AND RACK.
A 1980 registered BMW R80/7 with an RT fairing fitted this is the 55bhp model and has 65700 miles on the clock. I bought this bike in October 2012 and the previous owner had fitted the RT fairing which is still on the machine, as per the pictures, it could, however, be put back to standard quite easily. There is no service history with the bike but the following work has been carried out in my ownership. Hardened valve seats fitted recently so runs on unleaded. Work carried out by Motorworks engineers.Reconditioned gearbox fitted 1000 miles ago purchased from Motorworks.Carburetors rebuilt with new main, pilot, needle valves, main spring and diaphragm. Floats and float chamber gaskets replaced. Throttle return springs replaced. Carbs set up and balanced.Petrol tank acid cleaned to remove petseal. New internal fuel tank filters and petcocks fitted.All fuel hoses (including balancing hose) and fitting clamps renewed. Boyer Bransden Electronic ignition fitted. (all bean can parts kept so can be returned to points system if required).Engine, gearbox, drive shaft and final drive oils replaced. New oil and air filters.New rocker cover gaskets. Exhaust header clamps fitted.Stainless steel exhaust.Pannier carriers. (not fitted)Rear rack fitted.Tyres in good condition with many miles left on them. 5.5mm on front tread and 4.5 on the rear.Uprated headlight bulb for safer night riding.Brakes all good with plenty meat left on front pads and rear shoes.Comes with a BMW workshop manual, re...
