Laverda Jota 180 series II
A nice example of a series 2 180 Jota, it isn't a stunning over tarted up museum piece, but a genuine bike with some imperfections. I bought this about 5 years ago but in that time haven't had the chance to use it as often as I would like, it has been stored under cover in my dry garage for the last three years, I started it off a jump start as the battery hasn't aged well, I have now ordered a new high output battery for it. I'm not planning on putting an mot on it at the moment but can do if the winning bid requires, the last mot was only two hundred miles ago back in 2011 it passed with no problems and I don't foresee any problems now. The overall condition is good, I have tried to show areas of wear and corrosion in the pics, the frame is good apart from some corrosion around the rear brake cylinder, the tank has a small dent on the top left hand side, made by my knee when it over balanced and I used my body to stop it hitting the deck. The chrome on the original exhaust system is fading and starting to pit in places, its a cable clutch which I prefer over the hydraulic one, matching numbers, I'll add some pics of the frame and engine numbers soon. As with all Jotas it sounds fantastic, and goes well to, it has Metzlers on both wheels but they are looking a bit old now although plenty of tread. The chain and sprockets are ok, the bike could do with a service and carbs balancing to get the best from it. I will add some more pics over the weekend. I'm not looking for the si...
