1981 YAMAHA XS850 Classic Vintage Triple Cafe Racer, 80's, Trike XS750 CB Shaft

Hi I'm selling my Yamaha XS 850. It was last on the road in 2002 and has been dry stored in "oily rag" condition saving it from the ravages of the weather. It's in very good original condition, solid with minor general age related wear and tear. The XS850 is a three cylinder, shaft drive bike. The 850 replaced the 750 and was a very similar bike. However the 850 was a larger capacity, had a stronger crankshaft, a wider primary chain and better oil ways. It also had the addition of an oil cooler as standard.. It has a 24 litre fuel tank and a large 8" diameter headlamp. It had some frame improvements and revised alloy footrest carriers plus a wider seat and tail piece to mimic the American muscle bike look. The 750/850 engines are very popular for trike conversions. Plus points: Very original and extremely solid (dry stored)850 version with increased power over the 750 and upgrades and revisionsThe engine spins freelyThere is a very good sparkThe throttle works and the carb slides are free moving, fuel taps work without leaksFork sliders are rust freeTank is rust free inside with no leaksAll the dash lights workThe lights, dip/main, horn, indicators, passing light etc are all operative.Motad 3:1 (stainless pipe and down pipes)Braided brake hosesNice 6 digit regKeys to ignition and fuel cap are present as is the V5 However the bike has stood since 2002 and hence the carbs need cleaning and whilst the bike can be pushed around the brakes are not completely free and will need a se...
