Harley Davidson Sportster 1200
Harley Davidson Sportster 1200cc Was originally an 883 but I converted it to 1200 about 300 miles ago, Its been done with S&S barrels and Weisco pistons. I replaced all the gaskets with James Gaskets. Only selling due to needing a more commuter friendly bike, the tank range just isn't enough and its not ideal for filtering. The bike has never let me down and starts first time every time. The good bits: Brand new avon speedmaster and safety milage tyres, done about 50 miles since new, fitted about a month ago.. 1200 conversion done 250 miles ago, so pretty much brand new. Rear shocks from a 2003 custom fitted for a better ride, feel and height. New bullet indicators to replace the old, over sized ones, much brighter and tidier. Heat wrapped exhausts to stop your melting your shoes etc. Biltwell ape hangers with internal wiring. New regulator and battery in the last year, as well as new front brake pads and rebuilt front caliper. 12 months MOT with no advisories. I love this bike and would like to keep it, but its not the ideal bike for the mileage I want to do, I'm looking at getting an FXR or a touring style bike, More than likely another Harley!! Bad points: Its 27 years old, so although its clean its not like new, there is pitting on the chrome but it still looks great. There is also age related marks as would be expected.
