Honda VFR800FI
Honda VFR800 FI X. I have owned this bike for 12 years but it's time to sell as latterly I was only using it to ride 4 miles to work and back. It's been off the road for the past 18 months but has been started every few months. It needs a really good run to charge the battery and clean it's tubes. I believe it's a 99 model registered late 98. (but don't think there's any difference) This bike is a good runner and to be ready for the summer just needs an MOT, paintjob and some TLC. SORN declared at the moment. First the bad points: bike was subject to a CAT D insurance claim in July 2000. it could be doing with a respray as it's been painted before. (not very well) as can be seen in the photos the centre stand needs a rub down and repaint and the forks need a polish. front mudguard broken but a better one is supplied. hasn't hardly turned a wheel for 18 months so there's a bit of surface corrosion on some parts i.e. radiators & around the front of the engine, the brakes are dragging a bit and there will probably be the odd seized bolt but this is a quality motorcycle so shouldn't be too bad. Now the good bits: just under 25000 miles. good Michelin Pilot Road tyres and DID X ring chain. every MOT to prove mileage. brake discs absolutely fine as are the pads. included in the sale is an excellent top fairing, (in green) a better front mudguard (in red but not in photos as these were taken last summer) and tailpiece. these will need to be painted. stainless Motad exhaust headers m...
