If you want something that looks and feels a bit different this is it, the musclebike that combines Italian flair with Japanese engine technology. The stonking 140mph Suzuki TL1000S has been remapped in Italy to boost power at low revs and sounds as awesome as the Ducati Monster, but with more radical styling. You’ll not be surprised that the bike is styled by Miguel Galluzzi, responsible for the Monster when Cagiva owned Ducati, frame development was in the capable hands of grand prix race chassis engineer Romano Albesiano. The frame is a Monster-type steel tube space frame with the engine acting as a stressed member. An oval-section swingarm is controlled by a fully adjustable Sachs shock. The boring advantage over the Monster is that the Suzuki engine promises lower running costs and a more reliable ride. The bike was Registered in 2001, I bought it in 2003, so have owned it for 10 years. It has MOT until august this year and Taxed until July. It has 13,400 miles on the clock. It has aftermarket cans on, but I have the originals, which are perfect apart from age related wear. Both tires are really recent, only a couple of hundred miles.
