VINCENT COMET MOTORCYCLE
Vincent Comet Series C 1950 Classic. This lovely example has matching frame numbers - 1950 UFM & RFM & a 1955 engine. This bike has had 'upgrades' to enable greater comfort & reliability in order to be ridden & enjoyed. These include 12V electrics & electronic regulator. A King & Queen seat off a Triumph T140 has been fitted (original seat included also) - the seat was changed as the original has some wear & tear & wasn't that comfortable! The bike also has a Dave Hills centre stand - this enables safer parking, rather than the standard side stands ( though these are still on the bike).Rear view mirrors are also attached. Other additions are an ignition 'kill' button, a brake light switch fitted to the front brakes & unobtrusive turn signal indicators. The engine was completely overhauled/rebuilt last year -included in this was a new piston, rings, cylinder liner, muff, & valve guides.The Comet has recently had new wheel bearings front & rear & a new exhaust silencer. While not in 'Concours' condition, nevertheless it is in VGC, & is reliable & a pleasure to ride. Please note that this is an older, 'classic' bike that has been ridden, therefore will show signs of this, commensurate with age/'wear & tear'.
