Matchless G11 / AJS Model 30 1958 model - Lovely condition

Matchless G11 1958 model with the alloy chaincase and AMC gearbox but registered on 31st December 1957. Matching engine frame and registration numbers though the latter is NOT transferable all confirmed by a Jampot Club certificate of authenticity. Interesting documented history dating back to the first owner (I am the 3rd in total) which I can forward if required. The bike was given a comprehensive mainly cosmetic restoration by the second owner in 2005 (for which the receipts are included) at a mileage of 36710. It has now covered 40114 miles; 138 of which were done very recently (31st May 2014) for a ride to the alternative Cassington bike day. The bike still gleams and the quality of the paintwork is first class, most of the fasteners have been replaced with s/s items, the wheels have new rims with s/s spokes many other parts have been re-chromed or replaced so basically it looks like new. Viewing is recommended and you would not be disappointed. Since my ownership (August 2012) the magneto has been rebuilt by Dave Fisher of Swanage at a cost of £201 and I fitted a Dove anti-wet sumping valve and both tank badges as I cracked one in a silly moment and then found it had the wrong type anyway so replaced the pair. Bike starts easily – usually first kick provided you remember the Dove switch. It pulls well and kept pace with a 650 Triumph yesterday cruising comfortably at 55-60mph.
