1961 Zundapp 250S Trophy, beautiful sweet runner, matching eng & frame T&T

1961 Zundapp 250S Trophy Here is a rare example of a quality & highly regarded lightweight, the Zündapp 250S Trophy. Starting is easy, the engine sounds superb. When pulling the little engine seems to turn into a tireless little turbine, easily capable of 60mph cruising and believable top speed of 75mph. The gears and clutch are all A1, the brakes are excellent. The Speedometer (MPH) is working well. The electrics are good (12V) good lights with added indicators all working well. It really is quite amazing in performance handling , brakes. Reliability is also well documented and these engine can apparently do 70,000+ without attention! This one has a recorded mileage of 28000 which of course may or may not be accurate! The bike comes with V5C document, date of registration is 10th April 1961, registration number 318 XUP cannot be transferred to another vehicle. Frame number 940412 & engine number 940412 match the V5C doc. The original VIN plaque is intact on the headstock. There is a historic vehicle class (free) tax disc valid until May 2015 and the bike has an MOT to May 2015 also. There is an Owners’ manual and a service manual, a spares list and some catalogues from spare parts suppliers. There are MOT’s going back to 2008 (probably when it was restored). It has been used every year but only 100 miles or so per year. Cosmetically the bike is really superb. It has been nicely restored to a practical & sensible level. The frame has excellent gloss enamel, the tinware is gener...
