BSA A65 LC Lightning Clubman Genuine - Production Racer ( Cafe Racer)

A genuine 1965 BSA A65 Lightning Clubman in excellent running order. It has been owned by my friend since early 2000 and has been used on several BSAOC international events (Rome & Berlin) He has not been using it for the last few years and has decided to sell it.I have looked after this bike for all its time with him. The bike is an actual Lightning Clubman, of which only approximately 206 were made, so this is a chance to obtain a rare BSA production racer. The frame number is A50B.5984 and the engine number is A65DC.4140, I have shown a photo of these numbers and also a picture of the actual BSA dispatch book which confirms that the motorcycle is a Lightning Clubman which was dispatched to C.E.Cope in Birmingham on the 24th May 1965. The bike starts 1st kick and runs beautifully, either restore it to factory specification, or use it as is. Details------------The engine has had an SRM needle roller conversion, with polished con-rods.It has just been re-bored to +20 and has only been ridden for 30 miles since this was done. The oil pump has been replaced with a large gear alloy model for superior feed. The clutch has got Norman Hyde clutch plates and an SRM alloy pressure plate. There is an SRM finned sump plate with drain plug. There is a external Norton spin on oil filter which is mounted between the rear engine plates. http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/goffyoil.htmThere is a Bri-Tie anti-wet sump valve on the oil feedBrand new front fork stanchions (short type) with new bushes & ...
