BSA A65 Spitfire Hornet 1967 Restoration Project Basket Case Barn Find
Welcome to my auction for a BSA A65 Basket case This is a project that will need a great deal of enthusiasm, time and money THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE MOTORCYCLE but it could ( Possibly) be What you see in the pictures is what there is Please take time to read the following and do look carefully at the photos AND REMEMBER things always look better in photographs All of the parts will require work of some description but it could make and interesting project The parts comprise Rolling chassis: 1966 BSA A65 Lightning frame ( rear loops have been bent, more so on the R/H) Frame no ?? Can't find it, doesn't look to be ground away anywhere but it's not on the head stock Bottom yoke only Swing arm with rear shocks Front end with 1/2 width front hub, brake plate with shoes & pivot, Goldie type fork sliders ( L/H thread spindle type) Rear wheel is QD type, splines good,NO brake plate or hub hub Steel USA style petrol tank Side stand Rear Brake pedal Handlebars with levers and twin pull twist grip Engine: Cases are empty except for sleeve gear and sprocket Crankcases; engine number stamped on it is A65HA 8887 Y which is a Spitfire Hornet number, No internals fitted Small hole on R/H side of crank cases Engine internals are all removed and in a box, below is a brief list of parts, see photo for what's there Crank, rusty Cylinder head; No valves or rockers,No broken fins but damage to rocker shaft mount, it's been welded Gearbox cluster Parts of the clutch and primary side some of which may...
