I BOUGHT THIS 1967 "F" REG.BIKE A FEW YEARS AGO IN THE LOVELY RESTORED CONDITION THAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO'S. I ALWAYS LUSTED AFTER ONE WHEN THEY WERE FIRST INTRODUCED IN 1964, BUT THEY WERE £270 NEW BACK THEN. WHICH WAS WELL OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE BEING ON £4.18s FOR A 52 1/2 HR WEEK .THE BIKE COMES WITH A FOLDER CONTAINING SOME PHOTO'S OF THE RESTORATION,INVOICES & RECEIPTS OF PARTS PURCHASED WHICH WERE MAINLY FROM HITCHCOCKS,WORKSHOP MANUAL / PARTS CATALOGUE, MAGAZINES WITH ARTICLES & ROAD TEST REPORTS ETC. I HAVE THE "F" REG. GREEN / BUFF LOG BOOK SHOWING THE BIKE WAS SUPPLIED BY T COWIES OF STOCKTON ON TEES AND HAS HAD 6 OWNERS I HAVE ONLY RIDDEN THE BIKE A COUPLE OF HUNDRED YARDS.AS I WAS QUITE CONTENT IN JUST OWNING ONE. I COLLECT BIKES MORE THAN RIDE. ON MY VERY SHORT RIDE, THE BIKE STARTED EASY, CHANGED THE FOUR GEARS NICELY, STOPPED WELL AND SOUNDED GREAT. EVERY THING WORKED AS IT SHOULD. NO FRAGILE 5 GEARS. THE BIKE WILL NEED TO BE RE-REGISTERED AT THE DVLA BEFORE TAKEN ON THE ROAD. I'VE NEVER BOTHERED. IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. YOU WILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL LOG BOOK WITH THE ORIGINAL "F" REG NUMBER. A COUPLE OF HOURS IN THE GARAGE USING A BIT OF SPIT & POLISH, SOME ELBOW GREASE AND A LITTLE BIT OF FETTLING, THIS WILL MAKE A VERY DESIRABLE SHOW BIKE.
