1968 Ducati 160 Monza Junior for sale. I bought this bike earlier this year ago on a whim, because it looked so pretty. I brought it home, gave it a good check over (lots of loose nuts and bolts and bits) and took it down for it's MoT test. That's when I realised just how small it is. At 6'4" tall, it looks silly under me, and as I have other bikes to ride I have decided to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it more. OK, I can't tell you all that much about Ducatis of this period, as I am mainly into older Brits, but it is a bevel-driven overhead cam engine, in a fairly basic chassis (very similar to the 200 and 250 Ducatis of the time). It starts easily with a left-side kickstart, rides well (firm suspension, as you expect from a Ducati), has remarkably good brakes (for it's age and size), and the engine is just lovely. It buzzes along happily at 60 mph with me on it (acting as a sail), and does everything that you would expect of it. It was an American import, so the speedo is in MPH, The condition of the bike is good, with room for improvement. The wheel rims are a bit rusty, but with the painted centres is not too obvious, but the tyres are virtually new. The tank and side panels look lovely, but some other parts have been painted with a very slightly different shade of red. Again, not really noticeable. The rear shocks were knackered when I got it, so it is now running Japanese ones, which work well, but they should be shrouded items to look correct. The silencer is a ...
