Bultaco Sherpa Model 80 1971
Bultaco Sherpa Model 80. Very rare bike especially in this stunning fully restored condition. Bultaco only produced around 200 Model 80's. Fully restored by previous owner who worked for Rolls Royce hence superb attention to detail and restored without compromise to as new condition. Work completed as follows. 1). All new quality SKF bearings. 2). New primary drive chain and tensioner. 3). Bored out and fitted with a GasGas 280cc piston kit. Superb configuration with smooth power and bottom end grunt. 4). Exhaust cut and re packed, welded and refinished. 5). New air filter. 6). Re covered seat by Dave Hayden of Walsall (perfect as new job). 7). New vintage mudguards. 8). Forks rebuilt with all new seals. 9). New chain and sprockets. 10). All new cables, Renthal vintage grips and NOS levers. 11). Carb stripped and ultrasonic cleaned. 12). New quality IRC TR11 tyres. 13). Engine, forks, yolks, rims and bars all polished. 14). New old stock kick start. 15). New SKF head bearings. 16). Full re spray with new correct decals. The only thing this classic Bultaco requires is running in. If I was being padantic then it may be prudent to re line the fuel tank as modern ethanol based fuels can attack the original fuel tank lining. Collection from Stockport Cheshire.
