Morini 500
Morini 500 restored to excellent original condition. Uk bike with matching numbers originally supplied by Peter Williams motorcycles - I have the original invoice! I bought this bike in barn find condition a few years ago to restore for my own use. It has been completely stripped (and I do mean to every last part) and put back together very carefully. The frame wheels etc were powder coated, a new replacement tank obtained and repainted to original colours, the electrics overhauled with the original loom repaired as needed with NOS switchgear and a remagnetised alternator rotor. The brakes have new caliper pistons seals pads and front discs, the seat was recovered by RK Leightons and items such as chain, cables, tyres and battery replaced as matter of course. The instruments have been overhauled and work well and accurately. The electric fuel tap and starter are present and work well. The engine has been checked and simply put back together in standard trim, the carbs have new rubbers and the exhaust system is stainless. It rides beautifully and is possibly better than new. Taxed and tested, V5 in my name. The morini 500 is a rather under-rated classic bike, with relaxed engine performance giving 100mph top end but good mid range torque, better than the 350, with room for a passenger.
