1980 Ducati 900SS Mike Hailwood Replica ,no 225 Here is a superb opportunity to own a very important model in the history of Ducati. The 900SS Mike Hailwood Replica was built to look like Mike’s 1978 “come-back” Formula One TT winning Ducati. It was a massive success and helped turn the fortunes of Ducati back around. Some say this is the last true motorcycle ever built. No frills just old school power & looks. It certainly provides a link between the modern fully faired motorcycling and the golden era. A link personfied by Mike himself. This example is in excellent low mileage original unrestored condition. The one piece fairing has been repainted, but otherwise it is all original. It has had only 2 previous owners and a recorded mileage of only 18,200. The bike was in regular use until 2007 when it was taken off the road due to owners’ health. It starts well and sounds superb mechanically. There’s no smoke, no knocks or rattles and it pulls like a train! Terrific torque at low revs sets this aside from the more modern Ducati variants. The gearbox and clutch are both A1. The rev counter & speedometer are both working well. The charging system is working and all electrical stuff is working well with the exception of the “idiot” lights on the dashboard of which only the indicator lights are currently working.
