Beta Zero 1990 260cc
Beta Zero 260 - original Red one. I bought this bike from John Lampkin Imports in 1990 (have receipt) - I understand it was originally a Steve Saunders bike (British world round homologation mark still visible on the engine case). I have owned it ever since. It was well used for the first 10 years of it's life in club trials, then only occasionally used for the next 10 years and not used at all for the past few years (except for the odd start and run around just to keep it moving). Generally in pretty good order. Runs and rides. It was always kept in good shape. There have been a number of repairs done over the years, including some alloy welding to the uprights surrounding the radiator (common Zero fault). If it needed to get back to top condition then a bunch of bearing changes would be in order - wheels, swingarm and likely engine to quieten her down (a bit of bottom end rattle, nothing too sinister). It has a clutch upgrade that has loads of life still in it (the originals tended to slip in the top two gears). Tyres are pretty worn - anyone wanting to use this bike to compete needs to think about changing them, but for a run around or just for fun they are fine. Sold with brand new and fully stickered front and rear mudguard. I have a few other spares kicking around also.
